A group of hackers known as “PakCyberPyrates” managed to hack Indian Railway Website and its sub-domains in the first week on 2012-08-06 (first week of August 2012). This web attack on Indian Railways and its sub-domains resulted in 89 different defacement’s all together at different level of the website. After defacement the Hackers left a message on the Indian rail website for the freedom of Kashmir.

This incident of defacement of Indian website by so called Pakistani Hackers and defacement of Pakistani Official websites by the so called Indian hackers is not new. There is an ongoing and traditional cyber rivalry across the borders of these neighboring countries. Such incidents occure frequently during the month of August as both countries got their independence in the same month in 1947.
