PTCL launched 50MB VDSL Ultranet with VDSL 2 technology

PTCL 50MB Internet

Pakistan Telecommunication Corporation Limited (PTCL) becomes the world’s first Internet provider of the 50MB broadband Internet using VDSL 2 technology on its existing copper network. This 50 MB Internet service is now available in four major cities i.e. Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Rawalpindi for the home users. Earlier PTCL was providing 50 MB Internet on an experimental basis within one-kilometer radius of the cretin exchange/s.

 

Now PTCL is offering 50MB, 20MB and 10MB broadband packages at the cost of Rs. 20, 000, Rs 15, 000 and Rs. 9, 999 per month.  Another 2nd copper line in addition to the existing one is being used for this technology.  The 2nd line is used to enhance the Internet speed using VDSL 2. Installation charges inclusive of modem charges are Rs.10, 000 for all of the above packages
